Dodge trannies can handle 100hp over stock. Allisons aren't any better. It's the FERD trannies that are really strong. |

my dad has a 1997 ram v-10. the only thing that will stop it is a gas station. its on its 3rd engine.
If that truck had a 12 valve it would still be on its first engine. You say you're going to pull the motor again? Find a 12 valve and bomb it. Upgrade the tranny and it will be an awesome truck again. |
A 97 V-10 must be a real POS !, If an engine cant last 13 years ? Let alone 3 motors in 13 years ? and how many miles ? Apparently things other than a gas station CAN stop it ! Thank God I went to a Superduty !!!!! My $.02 Mike
