the worst thing for a 6.0 IMHO is a bad technician. They are not that bad if updated and fixed properly. im on the iowa/illinois border. bring her to me. ill fix her.

Also when its cold its better then warm. Cold i can get about 3/8 throttle responce. When hot maybe a 1/4. Barly made it 15 miles back home keeping the trans in low gears so i could have the mustard to make up a 1% incline. Its fully insured ill burn the bitcch

What was your IPR percentage? When you remove the IPR valve inspect the screen on the front for damage and if damaged might want to remove the oil cooler and replace the screen under the oil cooler. Wait to replace HPOP for now, it still may be bad but having higher icp pressure than desired sounds more like a mechanical fault of the IPR valve than a bad HPOP.

Pay attention to ipr percentage when ICP reads higher than ICP desired. At hot idle with ICP desired at 580 psi you should see around 22-23 percent ipr percentage. A low IPR reading would indicate a restriction of the ipr's ability to vent hpop pressure and a high reading would idicate either a weak pump or a high pressure leak, although one of the best things about an early 03 is that there are fewer places for high pressure oil leaks and we dont see hardly any problems with high pressure leaks on those trucks.

I have a feeling your going to find a clogged IPR screen or damaged screen.

Hope this helps

I do have the 22 23 percent at idle war,. Here the deal when the truck is at the TP (throttle position) of power loss the IPR spike to 85. This happend rite when the loss of power occures. When I back off the theottle so it stops sumnuling and you can hear the clacking of the deisel again it seems the IPR move percentage acordingly
