I agree totally, someone that has built a truck like you have can see the value in your price... It is always cheaper to buy one built. That Z06 Vette is sitting at the ford lot now.

That Z06 is bada$$ wish I was in a spot where I could have justified it.

Going with the 22's is a big advantage not having to run the high ply tires. A friend of mine did a dodge at the same time as me with the semi tires and beats you to death he is now cutting his to 22's and changing tires. I don't know about the dmax's if they have the widetrack steering like the fords or not but I know the direct bolt ons killed the steering radius on a 450 here in town that's why I ran the adapters on mine and it still turns sharp. My milage went up tremendous when I got rid of the DPF all I could get was around 8 mpg now with custom tunes I've been seeing 14mpg average and around 10mpg with the boat.

Not to derail this thread.. but you will need a 2.5 front only leveling kit. The ride will diminish with the tires you are looking at.... My suggestion is stay with the stock 20's, get a larger tire and if towing alot stay with load E tires.. On our 11 GM and Ford anything under 62 pounds signals a tire low pressure light. I have modded our Fords already and have left the GM stock. I went with a 2.5 leveling kit, 325 60 R20 vs the stock 275 65 R20. The height on the stock 20's were 34.2 vs the new 20's at 35.5, and slightly wider as well. The ride is acceptable, looks good and works well what I need it to do like tow on a daily basis..plus with the slightly more aggressive thread pattern it pulls my trailers into the job sites without having to use 4wd all the time..

Most Ford owners would have dropped a Cummins in it. You could have got a Common Rail for about $8000. Why didn't you?

I just had my tow vehicle and daily ride ,06-F350 with the 6.0 diesel all stock. Pulled my Donzi just fine from Michigan to Florida several times. Looked at 08 F350's and found out through freind at Ford engineering that they had a cooling problem on anything before December 08 and many engines had heat related problems because of it. I had my buddy check out 5, 08 F350 trucks for me and he steered me away from all of them. Ended up buying another 06. Pulls Great!
