Already been done with the 4bt and the 6bt;

Bump the 4bt to 300hp and install a couple of 100hp electric motors on the wheels and you would have a 40mpg SUV that accelerates like a drag car. Use a 6bt and bump it to 700hp and you would need wheelie bars.

I think production Hummers should be fitted with the 4.5 Dmax/electric hybrid system because starting in 2011 trucks over 10,000lb GVWR will no longer be excluded from CAFE standards which in this country is 25mpg and going higher very soon.
