Who uses what mudguards? Pics?
 

Interested in putting a set of easily installable/removable Mudguards on my 09 F350 SRW. I do not like driving with them, but when towing the race trailer or boat I would have no problem putting them on.

Anyone use some easily removable ones?

I bought a set of Rock Tamers. they slide onto your receiver and tight down with two set screw/bolts. the width is also adjustable....they have worked great for towing my boat and the toy hauler....but I'd get the stainless/chrome set if I had to do it again they look much better than the plain black set that I bought!!!

I made the mistake of putting mudguards on my 350 Dually too low to the ground.
When backing up once I backed into a curb and completely ripped the guard and inner fender liner off the truck.

Was easily replaced and no damage to the stainless trim , but a pain in the azz.

I think Sydwayz posted somoe info about some that attach to the tongue of the trailer. I installed permanent ones on my 2007 F350 and they look good......I'll post the info if I can find who made them.

not a f360 but,,,when i use to tow my snowmobile trailer up north the trailer and sleds would get all full of slush and snow...i ended up making a one piece flap that went across the whole length of the rear bumper..I took a 2'' id box tube and cut a section 1 1/2'' long then took a 1 1/2'' x 102'' wide..then i centered the 2'' id box tube on top of the 1 1/2 x 102'' box tube and welded them together..

then i tool a piece of rubber conveyor belt and notched the center for the safety chains and wiring..then i through bolted it to the box tube.. i did it this way so i could remove it,,you take the receiver out and slide the flap over the receiver then into the hitch..worked great!

got the idea from a motor home that has the big rear flap..

I have the Rock Tamers also, they seem to do a pretty good job of protecting the boat. I'm definitely going to use them when pulling the sled hauler, certainly will cut down on all that slush and junk thrown on the front.

I like 'em alot
materials and my time would be that much to make a set.
That's why I bit in that deal when I saw it.
I like the black powdercoated attachment/arms
I have tried to find the "Rock Tamer" stainless inserts though that go around the embossed lettering on the flap
Can buy replacement flaps for 30-40 at a truck place they are standard width
and do any custom big rig flap trim pieces you want in chrome or stainless

I have a set of Rock Tamers. They attach to the trailer hitch drawbar.

I do have to say, they make the drawbar damn heavy and awkward. I have them buried in storage, and will keep them.

When I went to my dually, I went with the molded mudguards that bold to the fender. I then extended them a bit with another set of hard plastic mudflaps.
