Heritage used treated lumber on my trailer so that is what I used when I built new bunks. Used galvanized lag bolts and monel staples.

I've always used treated for trailers and now even my lift bunks, which stays dunked for hrs at a time with no problems. Always S/S or Monel staples and galv. bolts.
