Cadillac CTS-V

Just bought a 2011 V!!! I'm so pumped to get it, but nervous too. What do u guys recommend as far as taking care of a car like this? I've heard horror stories on here like mice chewing through wiring, getting into the breather systems, etc. I won't be driving it much and it'll be in storage from November to April. I'll always have it garaged!

Looking to get one too, best car in it's class hands down, driven the m5 and E55/63 plenty of times (and owned a modded E55). No comparison, that suspension manages to ride as smooth as the Benz yet handle better and sharper then the M5... steering feel, everything is just awesome, makes it's competitors look bland with it's styling. And... 6 speed manual, funny how sports cars are almost getting rid of manual tran's but Caddy still offers an excellent manual.

I ran my buddies stock 6 speed at the track, cracking off high 11's at 119. My E55 stock didn't trap higher then 116 at the same track. Caddy hit a home run with this car... and it's mod potential is so easy.

Did you get the Recaro seats? Def a must have, they blow away the seats in a ton of sports cars inc a regular 997.

I recommend you send it to TX during these months and let me keep it up for you :coolcowboy:

Congrats on your purchase. Hell of a car

I read a review that said best bang for the buck. I would love to have the sedan, not fond of coupes. I'm driving a 2006 Chrysler 300C Hemi now, hope to get the SRT8 300 when they put the 6.4 Hemi and the new 8 speed auto with paddle shifters in it.

Yes, has the Recaro seats. If i bought it new i probably wouldn't have sprung for the Recaro option at $3500. Thanks for the positive input on the car. I'll post pics once i get it home

Great choice! I love mine, does everything perfect (except the 200 mile range on a tank). Drove it this winter w/ Blizzaks and it does great in the snow w/ the right tires.

Oh, as for service just follow the manual and use quality oil, etc. Here's where you can get more info: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...es-forum-2009/

Ca$hed Out here on the boards sold his 32 Sunsation, and is now on his second CTS-V. They are awesome.

They have AWD available now I think right?

Corsa exhaust for the 2011

CORSA Performance Exhausts, a TMG Performance Products company, introduces an axle-back exhaust system for the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe.

The new Cadillac CTS-V exhaust system features a dual rear exit design with Single 4.5-inch Pro-Series tips laser etched with the CORSA logo. I had an 05' and stored it during the Michigan winters. Had it detailed before I put it away always, battery tender, and a California car cover. I used downy dryer sheets to keep the mice away and had no issues in 2 winters. I would start it occasionaly and let it get up to operating temp. Which wouldn't take that long. And once it was there id rap on it a few times, couldn't resist.

Car now resides in Texas and I miss it....

cts v pics

Well i got it home, but can't post pics. Guess i have to renew my membership. I don't really have a need to post pics now that I'm boatless. I still like visiting with u guys though, so I'll email them to "go for broke". Car is awesome! Thanks for the dryer sheet idea, I've heard that one from a few now.

Like I said I'm looking to buy as well and one thing I'm noticing is used is not much cheaper then new, these cars are friggen holding their values especially when trying to find one with manual trans and Recaro seats, with some dealer incentive/discount some people having been getting new cars for not a lot more then a used 09/10'.

So easy to mod... since your boatless right now, now you have a new playtoy to mod :drink:

Yes, u can buy leftover 10's right now for a lot less than last year. They aren't knocking anything off the new coupe though. They say the coupe made the sedan go down 3-4k in price. I almost bought the sedan since we have the baby now but just love the coupe. The baby seat fits in the rear pretty easy too.

rlj676 04-07-2011 06:21 PM

Nothing wrong with the sedan!:party-smiley-004:

I'm looking at white or black, black is so hot in South FL though... and the pearl white on the V's is real nice.

Black interior with the yellow stitching and Recaro seat inserts. Big plans for it! Trade it in for a black one, my g/f isn't crazy about the silver and said black matches the Escalade

NICE! I was very close to buying the sedan. I heard the coupe will only be made in 2011 and 12 so figured I better get one

Haha that's funny! Silver isn't my favorite, but the car looks great in it.

Everything looks good in black.

Even hotter heat here which is why I've never owned a blue or black vehicle. I have the Cool Vanilla color on my 300 and I've always liked the Cadillac Pearlescent White. It's not bright white like work trucks.
