Default Safety Chain

The ramp at my new Marina is pretty steep and it's got me thinking my safety chain may not be beefy enough. The chain I have is not permanantly afixed to the winch stand and is a small section of lighter chain with two S hooks on either end. I just hook it through the winch stand and hook either end on the bow eye. Any ideas on a better set up?

I used the heaviest grade chain i could find and used grade eight bolts to fasten to the tongue of my trailer with the quick link style hooks( see image) to attach to my tow rigs hitch loops

Yep, get the heaviest grade chain you can find, and wrap it around the trailer tongue, fastened back with a shakle.
