I live in Colorado and drive I-70 frequently. I really have to wonder if there was a problem with the "test" Ford when testing was done on Eisenhower. For it to be that far off the Chevy, when it was very close at Davis Dam is a little confusing. The turbo would have to have been very inefficient to allow that much time difference. I know they stated that elevation ws the culprit, but I know that my new SD is very stout when pulling Eisenhower. Possibly the turbo on the test truck was having issues, I don't know.
As far as the exhaust brake, the Ford works well enough for most. As efficient as the Chevy?? Nope. The Chevy does work very well.
