Default Test drove a new Ford F250 for about 6 hours today

I must say I am overly impressed with this vehicle. I have driven the new gmc and dodge and this thing just rocks. They are all great trucks I am just more of a Ford guy so please don't turn this into a battle of the brands. Here is what I found much different from my 2005 F250.

*Throttle response was amazing. It literally accelerates and acts like my fathers 2010 Chevy Tahoe
*Interior is very sleek and comfortable. Feels alot more like an SUV/luxury than a truck
*Truck is quiter than most newer v8 trucks. Infact it's almost to quite for me.
*Turning radius was severly improved from my 05
*The "offroad app" that shows how many degrees your truck is tilted in any direction is pretty cool along with the ability to see if your wheels are straight or cockeyed.
*got heated seats now but this also offered A/C seats
*hidden backup camera in rear view was cool
*stereo system was superb compared to whats in my harley edition

I think I will wait a year or so and try to upgrade when some used ones roll around.

They are nice. I was looking at a 350 but the $51,000.00 sticker made me puke in my mouth a little. I think I will keep the 02 for a little bit longer.

I couldn't agree with you more on all points.....Ford really out did themselves with the 2011's.......I have my F350 for a few months now.......what's even more impressive is how I hardly even felt my boat behind it while towing........

our 11 350 has around 26k and our 11 250 has over 80k in just over 12 mos..shot gun delivery truck..no problems with either and would rank it above our 03 7.3.. We also have an 11 GMC 2500 with 23 or 24k..also very nice..

I think that post was a little mis understood.....we had some medical bills show up that caused me to make a decision to cancel the rest of our poker runs this year to get them paid for.... I wasn't going to be able to use the boat much and have been wanting to upgrade to a 38.... Cash it tighter than usual do to that but everyone's idea of "tight on cash" is totally different....we just had to cancel a few trips not think about selling things or cutting out eating out etc....

Anyway the price tag has me to on this thing. I think I may try to get another 2 years or so out of mine and try to find one in the 30's with 80,000 miles or so on it

A buddy of mine just bought a SRW F350 and I too was extremely impressed with the truck. Have NEVER been a Ford guy, but I will be when it comes time to trade up. Have an 06 Dodge 2500 w only 46K on it and have already had to replace almost everything in the front end. Never again.
