Cool stuff. I remember years ago my buddy had bought a truck like this. It was a old international 4700 I believe. he had the frame shortened, and added a small dump bed. Like a 5 yarder I think.

So maybe a couple of feet behind the cab left for this. Your boat looks sweet also! Nice link to the pics. |
There's air tanks and other misc stuff bolted to the inside of the frame rails. So I'll start there as minimum length so I don't have to do a lot of fabricating.
BTW - bought the truck. 1500 bucks. Wife and I were talking. We need to find a place that can insulate and upholster the interior - the roof and the back of the cab. Right now it is just plain white metal. A buddy is going to respray it pure white, not the dull yellowish Ford white. Then another buddy is going to airbrush my boat on the doors, and 1st buddy will clear coat over all of it. I'll take some pics of before, and then maybe some as I go forward. |

5.9 Cummins 190hp -Bosch mechanical fuel pump Eaton 5106 6 speed stick 4.56 gears 237" wheelbase no mention of shipping weight, so hit a CAT scale at a truck stop the good news is we can get over 300hp out of this setup easily, done dozens of them |
That year shouldn't have anything electronically holding the engine RPM back. The pump will defuel wherever it's governed at, can't remmeber what RPM. Look on the cummins sites or Summit for governor spring kits (3k GSK or 4k GSK)...

I have a 97 and the rev or speed limiter is miserable. Any suggestions?
