I did something very similar on my '01 Lightning (best vehicle I ever owned). PCV air would get sucked down into the intercooler and clog up the openings in it. When I took it apart it was covered in oil, two two cans of carb cleaner to get it looking good.

I used an oil separator from Parker for compressed air hose usage. Once every couple of weeks, I would drain the couple teaspoons of oil from it.

I rerouted my PVC system on my Duramax so it dumps down under the cab. Have never had a drop of oil come out of it so i dont see the need for a catch can. Just run a piece of heater hose to let it vent, you could even put a small valve cover breather filter on the end of it if you wanted.

It's called a catch can. Many people make them just google it. Some of the modern v8 's are notoriouis for pullinhg oil vapors. GM LS engines is one.
