Very true. The new Ford's sit/ride so high and quiet that you get the feeling you are just poking around only to find out you are going 60+.

I agree, damn truck is as quiet as plenty of $$$ luxury cars, and it's drives so solid. All 3 are nice now that Dodge finally got their act together and put a decent interior in, but Ford always wins it out for me for interior quality, long term fit/finish, seats, solid feel etc. 6.7 is a gem.

2011 F350 Crew Cab 6.7 Diesel 27K. I towed my 23 Rinker out to Las Vegas from Detroit and my new 32 Sunsation back with no problems. Lots of power and a nice ride. Even through the steep mountains of Colorado and Utah. Its nice quite and when you want or need it its got plenty of go juice!! Plus new 2012 F350 have a 14.5 K conventional towing hitch!! Good luck!!

Figures I think this has been gone over before, the OEM's put a rating out then don't back it up with the right hitch.

correct me if Im wrong.. I believe later in the year when GM was stating their frames are much stiffer due to be a box channel vs open..they also were able to tow 100 pounds more.....Ford added some structural bars to their frame to increase their tow rating ....possibly some of the hitches were left over with the older labeling. Just a thought....

Nort, how are you finding the freeway ride of the new rig when unloaded?

I'm real close to pulling the trigger on one of these. (11 F250 6.7) Waiting to see what what taxman says.

UD

I haven't towed with it yet. The truck is great on the freeway by itself, and I expect the same with the boat behind. Very impressed so far!
