I need some NAUS!

I have a 75 mile trek to get to the lake which is mostly flat since i`m in Illinois but theres this one bridge over the river that I have trouble getting up.. I was thinking some nitrous would help. Maybe a 75hp kit?

I already have the BIG 4.3l V6 so I`m good most roads just need a little boost getting up hills.
Actually its either the nitrous or getting the trailer brakes fixed, they don`t seem to be working too well.
Tires still have about 10% tread left so I`m good there.

Let me know your thoughts!

I'm not sure, but I think you can install a blower off a gm. Cyclone or typhoon truck. Have you looked into a cat back exhaust?

Are you pulling your avitar boat with a V-6 ?? I cant see the pic

The 4.3 gm V6 was torquey. Its actually a 350 small block, with 2 cylinders cut off. To help with the vibrations due to imbalance, they added a balance shaft to the engine. Id put a blower on it and keep the rpm within reason .

What's up with the trailer brakes?

that 4.3 is a powerhouse,no reason for dually,s with turbo diesel engines,il bet that s10 could pull my 38 fountain, and who needs brakes anyway:lolhit:

BTW, a good coat of pledge furniture polish will bring that shine right back to that hood. Matches the boat nicely color wise.

No nitrous, no blower...If your serious about trying to pull that boat any distance at all, a set of 4.10's should have been installed long ago. Find a set in summit for 7.625 rear. Problem solved for cheap...... Or........just drop a duramax in it and call it a day :lolhit: Oh, and the pledge a great idea, less wind drag!!!

with all the power from that 4.3,a 3.73 gear would be perfect, and if you add the nous,it will be like icing on the cake!

My brother and I pull his 42' fountain with his short bed s-10 and have for many years. Orginally it came with a 2.8L but it just wasnt fast enough. (He gets cranky when getting passed) So we bought a S-10 Blazer with 300k miles (for the motor) on it for real cheap due to the body being almost fallin' off. Motor still ran good! My cousin works at a chevy dealership as their lead tech and says these 4.3L engines last for 600k miles before needing a tune up. That says a lot in my book! So we pulled the motor out and put in into his truck... wow... it really woke up. The only problem is that its a short bed regular cab so fitting all our gear in it plus the girls in it is tough. So most of the time, the girls stay home and we just load up our fishing gear. We have it setup just right for all of our rods, downriggers, tackleboxes, and coolers to where we can still get the nerf net hooked. Its bad a$$! Anyway, the first time we hooked the fountain to it, it sagged a little in the back so we went out to the barn and took the weight plates off the front of the tractor and laid them in the engine compartment of the S10. That helps a lot. So far, we have about 50k on the truck just pulling the fountain... its amazing how well it handles around the cornors... its almost like the driving a big ole lincoln with body roll.... you love pulling the baja with it however, I think the S10 will be overkill for that boat...

Thank for all the replies they are really helpful. You should see all the looks I get pulling that 12,000lbs rig down the street. Total chick magnet.
I was having trouble with sagging but welding up a +10' custom hitch and loading the boat towards the rear of the trailer helps alot.. for anyone having this issu just try to get as much weight off the hitch by moving the boat as far off the back of the trailer, it works!
Never thought of thought of the tractor weights TEAMSYPERGY but thats also a great idea.

S-10 POWER!!
