Another vote for Bilstein 5100. Did my 2007.5 dmax w only 60k mi in October and they made a noticeable difference. model - BE5-D146-H1
I only did the fronts since they were bouncing and most said the rear was not as necessary with the extra dampening of the leafs. I can now tell a difference in the control my front has going over a speed bump and extra bounce the rear has. Go ahead and do all 4! I did the fronts myself in about 2 hrs. Did not even have to remove tires or fender liner, but the liner was a little rough on the forearms, especially on the passenger side. Just looked up a couple youtube vids. Mine were $85 each delivered from Norcal Truck. Looks like they have a promo going til Jan1. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=468539 If you have a leveled front or other suspension changes, Norcal is good to consult with. Hankook ATM's have run well for me and are reasonable priced. The stock firestone were POS. |
Check out the new Toyo Open Country A/T II tires. I put a set on my '11 2500HD and they rock. They have a 50K mile warranty on LT sizes. I just got back from a 1600 mile trip to Ohio and back in very snowy conditions and felt totally secure with the grip.

Michelin ltx ms2 I have over 60,000 on my michelins and they still have easily 20,000 miles of tread. Bilsteins from eshocks.com OEM replacements 260 for all four for my 2500 avalanche. Tires are your best investment, buy the best you can and you will not be sorry. Wannabe |

Bilsteins + Toyo's best como out there. Michelins are also a great high milage tire but to hard of compound I did get the traction performance I was looking for until I switched to Toyos.

The Bilsteins are installed and boy are they great. Truck rides better than new. Tires are next after we get back from a week at LOTO.
Thanks to all for the advice. Dave |
I love the Bilseins on my 05' taho and also put a set on my dads F-350. He loves them too.
As for tires I run Cooper's on most of our trucks. AT'3s on the F-350 pulling a fifth wheel horse trailer 14K. My boss have them on his F-350 SRW and has no complaints. He's pulls a fifth wheel camper all over the country never an issue. |
F350 7.3 4x4 and have Michelin LTX MS2 great tire. I run rancharo rs7000 and had rs9000 adj on my suburban.
