2012 "light truck" sales figures
Just to keep the truck banter going.......
Ford ever so slightly edged GM to claim the #1 truck sales title. By how much? 410 units or .0006 Ford F-series - 645,316 GM "S"-series - 644,906 (Chevy Silverado - 418,312; GMC Sierra - 157,185) Ram (formerly Dodge) - 293,363 http://www.thestreet.com/story/11806...-for-2012.html For all the banter, it appears consumer choice closely mirrors test results. Overall, very tight between GM and Ford with Dodge still making a strong showing. People are definately buys vehicles again after the Cars for Clukers feast/glut and slow "Recession" recovery. A buddy in Toyota sales moved 38 units last month. His best in 7 years. |

I can't believe it was that close, the Ford is WAY newer and had the same or better incentives. Should be interesting now that GM is launching the new truck this year.

Would be interesting to know how many trucks were purchased by the government from each manufacturer.
