Picked up my new Manning trailer for the Active Thunder on Friday. Ron was great to deal with, and had the trailer done WAY ahead of schedule.

Looks awesome, IMO. Aluminum, E over H on all three axles, LED lights, tool box, fancy five spoke rims.

Just over two weeks and I'm rolling south to bring her home!

Only problem was, the thing beat the snot out of me on the highway...need to throw some weight in the bed to counteract the bouncing or my brain will leak out my earholes before we get out of Illinois!

Can you ask them what vender supply the center caps for the wheels. They are 7000 lb axles because you got 8 lugs on them. I have been looking for that kind for over a year now with no luck. Search the Internet with no luck,even check Summit's racing site. They are 5 1/4 in diameter.

That's a really good-looking trailer! Why no drive guard? Just curious.

Take most of the air out of the trailer tires for the empty pull south. That will help with the bouncing problem. I once pulled an empty tri-axle trailer 1500 miles, and it bounced like a basketball until I did the following:

Your tires are probably rated for 80psi and are rated for +- 3000 lbs at that PSI. Your empty trailer probably weighs 3000 lbs on the axles at most, or about 500 lbs per tire. You can likely get by with 20-25 psi and have plenty of air volume to carry the load, not get hot, not bounce your trailer and truck, not tear up things, and actually track better.

Be sure to air back up before loading the boat. Do the same with the rear tires on the truck.

Thanks Chart...I will look into that for sure. I also had Timbrens put in last week...and it looks like they are too tall, so those are getting swapped out right now.

As for no drive guard...I thought about doing one, but the extra length it added to the trailer was something I didn't want.

Pulled my empty Manning to Florida last year. Had 8 lugs wheels, 7000lbs axles, I think I dropped the pressue down to 35-40 psi no problems BIG difference.
