I went thru this. If the trailer isn't made to fit your cat it won't fit everywhere. By the time I got done I spent more on fitting the trailer than I paid for the trailer that didn't fit. I guess you could do better if it's a do it yourself fix. Labor ate my lunch.

I can only imagine the nightmare you dealt with . Thank You for sharing this significant bit.
A friend in Miami tells me he can get a new flat trailer for about 10k. Does this sound right?
I need a trailer I can splash and eventually one for hauling.

should be able to buy any quality production aluminum trailer and have them build a custom bunk that should bolt on to the new trailer. as for the bunk construction might try to contact the builder of the boat and get the dimensions to build too. myco or who ever built the original trailer might also have that info. if your friend is in miami, continental trailer is in miami and they build a good trailer.

Who builds tilt trailers ?
I need to start getting bids.
My boat's previous owner has been gracious and allowed me the use of his trailer temporarily but I need to act on this quickly .
I'm no freeloader and don't want to take advantage of this gentleman's generosity. I'll put her on stands before I burn a bridge .
I know Lugo , Myco . Anyone else ?

Skater, as well - they laid up the Platinums... Lugo seems to be the ultimate in engineered/constructed Tilt trailer.

There are threads on the tilts here and there in the OSO forums

I bought the Aluminum Myco 15K# tipple axle in like new condition for 7.8K. Repositioned the bunks and added a drive guard. My total was 18K after parts and labor.

AEX- Myco built the trailers for the Chris Cats back in the day so they shuld be able to buid you one having the dimensions on the hull. Go Aluminum if you envision salt water.

The Chris cat is 8' 6" so no need for tilt, which you don't want anyway.
