Due to 3.73; go with 265.

There are lots of 8x170 wheels out there, even on craigslist. I guarantee ROI in the form of towing stability with wider wheels, especially given your traction needs.

Also, call Mama Tryed here on OSO before any tire purchase. Good guy, great prices and does well by OSOers. He is in KY.

Dick Cepek Fun Country. I've been running them for 4 years and 50,000 miles. Getting ready to replace them with a new set but they still have some life in them. Very good traction and good looks. I run 35x12.50x20s on my Duramax Crew Cab.

+ 3 on the Michelin LTX (MS2's now) and + 3 on the Firestone Transforce HT' s, we usually sell the Michelin's they don't look like much but will give the best ride and stability of any tire out there, and usually the best tread life. Bad thing is they are expensive but worth it. If you don't want the spring for the Michelins look hard at the Firestones, one of the best value tires out there. Both of these are more of a highway tread, but I can't see any reason you would have a problem getting up your driveway. If they don't look aggressive enough for you look at the Michelin LTX AT2's they come stock on a lot of 3/4 trucks, in the Firestone look at the Transforce AT's. On a side note the BFG All terrain's are a great tire as well, but are very noisy compared to the Michelins and Firestones, another side note the BFG's are also made by Michelin.
