Heavy duty Boat tie downs

Looking for new tie downs for bow and transom for a 46' vee on a myco. New boat did not come with any. Had some nice ones on the 42 but don't remember the brand.
Thanks,
Ben

Here is what I use,

Boat buckle. They work very, and I love that they are always on my trailer.

I use car tie-downs from Jegs.

Boat Buckles? Come on! I can straighten one of those hooks with a pair of vice grips; way less force than when a boat decides it's coming off the trailer.

The OP stated he's tying down a 46' boat. Those BBs are rated for 2500 lbs. which I am willing to bet is the webbing strength. not the hooks.

I might use the BBs on my PWC and Mini-Hawk, but that's about it.

Those straps at www.ratchetstraps.com with the 10,000 lbs. rating are what the OP needs, and I'd venture to say a few more folks on the forum as well.

My thoughts too!! I would go for the 4" Ratchet Strap to hold down a 46' bucking bull should it decide to try to get loose on the highway!!

I LOOOVE my Boat Buckles.. when I had my sway issues , twice the boat was swaying so hard and pulling the Excursion around like a tonka toy, trailers tires squeeling, in 3 lanes at once, I thought for sure the rig was going to flip over, the Belt Buckle held no problem... good enough for me.

Me too, I don't expect them to hang on if I should ever flip the rig over ( hope that doesn't happen) just want something to hold the back and front down from bouncing and they do that job very well.

Docklines work well too. Just good enough to keep the fuzz from writing a citation... :drink::drink::drink:
