How many do they have to sell to payback the tax payers? I agree with Clovins. As a life long GM customer I am done. I am so disappointed with my k3500 and my Escalade. Nothing but problems with both. I have had a corvette before but after my current experiences I would never chance buying another.

GM had an impressive display this year at the Monterey Historics- 60 years of vettes. An all aluminum frame was on display with composite A arms- 90 lbs of weight removed with increased rigidity...etc.

They thrashed three of them on the track for 3 days....looked impressive.

Yeah but it is a Corvette, c'mon man! That is almost unAmerican that you would be concerned on the quality of Corvette build, I think the Vette engineers have their sh*t together, but my opinion is worthless. If you don't like your new Vette selling a used Vette does not appear a problem, there is always a demand.

If you like it buy it, demand for the Vette has never seem to have been a problem. I love the Corvette, my Grandfather had a 65 convertible, and my father had a split window 63 and used it as a tow vehicle for his fast as sh*t tunnel boat way back in the day. The Vette is in the top picture with the 16' Carlson tunnel boat with a Mercury BP 125hp; the picture was taken in 1968 at the Millville, NJ boat ramp, a Maurice River hot-rod.

I couldn't edit out the other picture that is not relevant to this thread, me as a five year old in my father's 16' Donzi, in 1970, with me in the passenger seat, my mother, pregnant, in the back seat with soon to be born brother Michael sporting her Marlo Thomas hairdo.

In 1975 I bought my 1st boat ---it was the same as the one behind the vette a 1967 Carlson/Glastron Tunnel hull with a 115 merc ---a couple of years later I swapped the motor to a brand new Merc 1500xs

I didn't think I would need to be concerned with the quality of a $55k diesel truck or of a $70k Cadillac. I mean the Cadillac engineers should have their chit together too. Guess not. I am born,raised, and still live in a town with a GM plant and have owned nothing but GM my whole life. It is bad when they are turning out such good looking cars that are just junk. I am more bummed than anyone. I guess when you become a communist company quality is no longer an issue since the govt will just bail you out.

Sorry about your vehicle problems. What were they? Durability? Part failure?

GMs quality is actually very high depending on model.

As far as a communist company...that is an idiotic statement, but I do not agree with the O's socialistic ways. BTW GM has paid back a great portion of the $ and the Government stands to make money on the remaining stock they have in GM.

My Duramax (purchased new) has not had problem but a broken glove box latch and I am pretty sure that was from someones knee.
