help with 7.3 problem

I just purchased an early 99 7.3 f350. The truck has a 6 position chip on when I bought it since then I have put a 4" turbo back exhaust and an intake on it. When I installed the exhaust and gauges last Saturday the truck ran great when we pulled it out of the shop but once I drove it it only hit 10lbs of boost and then shut down now it will not build any boost and runs like crap. No Power No Boost. This is not my first early 99 with these mods so I am wondering if something just happened when I did these mods as a coincidence or did I screw something up. Truck has 92k miles on it

Have you checked the fuel filter and lift pump? I'm thinking coincidence.

Map sensor? Where is your boost gauge reading from?

I hope you didn't get any dirt or any particles of metel in the turbo when you were doing the exhaust or intake. It doesn't take much to destroy a turbo. It happened to a buddy of mine, just as you described.

Actually forgot about this check the line to the map, it won't fuel the truck any harder if it doesn't see boost.

And thats where many "t" in to get a boost reading on the 7.3...thats where i'd start!

I put a new fuel filter 2 days before exhaust was done. The boost gauge is tee'd into the map sensor

Do you have egt gauge? If so did you drill and tap manifold with truck running? Make sure all your intercooler boots are tight.

Personally I would ditch the map sensor T drill and tap straight into your intake horn these are great motors we have built a lot of them for pulling trucks can't kill em my duramax won't last near as long as that ford hahaha
