There were not major changes in the 02/03s, but the seats are more comfortable.
The 1999.5 and 2000 7.3L PSDs were the strongest (engine) though as they have forged rods. All other years are cast.

changes on 02-03...

headlights
parking lights
heated seats more common
seats way better
cluster changed
raise and lowering pedals for wife to drive back when hammered

as far as the forging,that dont matter unless you are maxing out a 7.3 engine and MOST guys are not making 4-500 at the tires without spending big money doing it, magazine HP and real life HP 2 different things...

I just sold my 02 because I wanted newer options so now I have a 6.0..... already has studs and delete so its good to go WAY more power....
