Adding Bunks???
I have a Fastload now with 2 large beams notched out for the steps and up front some PVC tubing that I guess is suppose to help guide the boat on shaped like a V. In between the tubing is just a plastic pad that the boat rest on. I figure most of the weight is on the rear but when trailering and loading that plastic BS just doesn't sit well with me. Not to mention with steep ramps. I was gonna add 2 2X6's prob 8 feet long, it's 80" from cross beam to the cross beam that the tubing sits on. I think I have figured out what I need hardware wise just was curious if any one has some pics of them adding bunks to the front.
If I get a chance I'll add some pics of what I got on the trailer now when I get home. |

Also was thinking of adding this kind of bow stop and getting rid of the traditional roller.

This is where I found that one. I've seen fountains have them and even black thunders. |

Source your parts here. Very easy to work with. They have everything from cross members with V-notches to bunk supports. Your boat will load a LOT better with them as well. IF you add a pair of 2x6 down the keel of the boat in between the big bunks, it will load/center even better than with just the V-bunks added up front. |

Thanks for the advice, never thought about that. I'm gonna start with front then add to the rear. The only other way would be poles and I don't want to f with those.
