Was wondering if anyone else has ran LED lights on the inside of the trailer to light up the boat when towing at night, and if it was actually legal? The last couple time Icoming back from the lake has been after dark, and I've had several people coming out from side streets and not notice there was a big ass boat behind me. And we all know 10/20/10 coverage...if they even have insurance at all if going to cover the cost of repairs. So was thinking of other ways to help drivers out at night to recognize the boat other than the yellow side markers on the trailer that they obviously pay no nevermind to anyway.

It's not illegal to run lights on the side, LED or not. You'd have to look into your local laws as to distance between lights. The one thing I do know is you need to run amber in front of the axle, and you can run red behind.
