Trailer Brakes

Is it worth the extra money to get Electric/Hydraulic brakes if i'm not around salt water?

Captain YARRR 09-27-2014 11:31 AM

Absolutely. It's not a salt water thing. It's that you can easily and smoothly stop in all situations thing.

It's a rough check to write but after you do, you'll be happy you did.

I agree with Captain YARRR, they have nothing to do with salt water and everything to do with more efficient braking. You will not be disappointed and just getting rid of the bumping in traffic or hills was enough for me.

Yes,, well worth the investment.

Do a search on this topic; discussed many times. It's the best money you will spend on your towing setup.

I did mine last year. What a differance. Well worth the money.

What does it cost to go from surge to EOH?

Also discussed in several threads recently; can be found with a search.

Here is my conversion. You can get in to this for about $1000 +/-

It is money well spent. ...and would certainly do it again (immediately) if the next boat has surge brakes.
