What if you
Get a flat on your trailer, you plug it but now how do you air it back up. You air compressor isn`t going to reach 20' from the truck!

You've got way too much time on your hands!
|
Well, I guessing you took it off to plug it... roll it upto the pump.......
|
Just a little side note on plugging tires and I don;t think this holds true for bias trailer tires.
I have been big time tire plugger for 20 years and especially for about 10 of them as this town went crazy with construction for a while and every other day there was a box of screws sitting in the middle of the road that fell off someones roof. So back to the point. I was told by a very knowledgeable person that has been in the tire manufacturing biz along time that todays tires do not do well with plugs. They laminate the plys differently nowadays and a plug will allow air to flow between them and it will cause the tire to delaminate between the plys. So if you have a tire that is worth a chit when it gets a hole in it you should really have it patched from the inside instead of a plug. |
I have never had a trailer tire get a flat without trashing it anyway.
|
I use my jumper/starter that I can keep in my truck.... I've used it a bunch of times as it has a cigarette lighter plug. Getcha one!
I like the way you think though. |

BUT I did put a air adapter on the back of the 650- Now I just need 50' of hose |
What if you: stay focused on getting your boat back together, "maybe"? it'd be ready by springtime.:D
|
So should I patch this one, or will a plug suffice?

Ryan Red is actually better but won't match the tire well. |

As for the original question. I actually have a little hose Tee'd into my boats exhaust/muffler compressor. Lift the engine hatch pull out the hose. It's only 1/ 4" that is attached by Legris fittings so it takes up no room. It's convenient for topping off the tires when no compressor is around.

Just rotate tire ..its only flat on the bottom , sheesh man easy fix errr what

I like it. Also, it makes a great charging station for your device when doing brake job, bearing greasing, etc. Or, plug in that 12v mobile penis pump you have.

I can change a tire quicker than a 12V compressor can re-inflate a flat.
Conversely, I have a coiled air hose off the compressor on my truck (for airbags and and train horns). I can reach the whole truck with it, and the spare mounted on the trailer. I also often carry a 5 gallon air can. Either option is quicker than a 12V K-Mart compressor. |

So how often do you replace fuses now? About every time you hit the boat ramp?
|
It wouldn`t blow a fuse if it had constant power , just like the old non sealed light when they were under water but I wired it to the marker lights anyway.
