Unbiased opinions?

Is it possible to get some here? :D

We all know the Duramax /Allison combo rocks but what about the 2010 6.7l / (no idea what trans) 3500 Dodge truck. I know the motor is a winner but since I`m towing close to 16k#`s I need a good trans.
What the word out there?

Aisin warner I believe with the 6.7's. For the price and relative reliability dodge all the way

Cycle the exhaust brake regularly as the VGT turbo has been known to get sticky when running hot tunes (my 6.7 was bad about it till I swapped chargers). Heard nothing but good from the Aisin trans as long as ur not trying to kill it intentionally.

Tundra, .............. it pulled the space shuttle......... seriously If your pullin for a living Cummins all the way, but if your pulling in style now and then Dirty Max Allison, I've heard great things about the new 6.7 and personally I like the Ford looks and own one

My older Dodge needed a trans like all of them when you bumped up power, and it costed some cash. but if you work on your own trucks it's alot easier to dive in the straight 6 engine bay.
Cummins is a better engine from the ground up. DTT transmission rocks!

If yo work on your own stuff its hard to beat a 6.0 that has been "fixed". You can buy them broken for pretty decent prices. They are easy to work on. So are the dodges. But they have tranny, front end, and interior problems that i dont care to mess with.

I just picked up a 2015 F350 6.7L Diesel. 860 ft/lbs of torque. that's what I wanted because we bought a bigger boat, a Donzi 38zr with trailer. so I too wanted some good power to pull. all 3 have good pairings I think. its all in what floats your boat so to speak, lol. I drove both the chevy 3500 and the ford f350. I liked them both. I like the looks of the f350. let me know if you need any info. good luck.

i had a customer with 2 dodge and 1 ford, pulling exactly the same trailer loaded exactly the same way all 3 together at the same time, speed, temperature so on...
i sold him a duramax
after that, each driver wanted to drive the GM one week for each, for comfort, torque, less noisy, and better fuel econonomy of all 3!

i sold him 2 more GMC in the next couple months taking the other on trade! :)
