2005 Ford Integrated Brake Controller low output voltage
 

I have a 2005 F350 that has low output voltage (not enough to be effective with electric over hydraulic actuator). It puts 2-3v with normal braking and 4v when get on it, 10v if do emergency stop. This is not effective for towing with heavy boat.

I would like to know if anyone has replaced this with the 2006 model that is suppose to be improved. What voltage do you get and/or does it work good with your brake actuator?

I read on several truck forum's that early 2005 (what I have) had issues and after April 2005 they made a change. But this may only be the manual override functioning at stopped or slow speeds.

Also, if I have to go to aftermarket any recommendations?

I was under the impression it was not until later, like 2010-11 before they started making the IBC more compatible with EOH?
I was just reading the ford brochure and it still makes exception to some EOH.

Prodigy P3 is a great, full featured unit with plenty of voltage. 1-4 axles. I got it because of the features and inertia control but have towed two tandem trailers a couple times so the 4 axle power has been useful.

Is this a new problem that has just popped up?

Is your constant 12V+ pin working fine?

Figuratively:
The 12V+ powers the pump.
The Variable 0-12V+ tells the pump how hard to pump.

This is not new problem, just switched trailer over from surge and found this when started to test system.
All voltages (12v supply pin and blue control pin) are getting to pump and pump runs just doesn't develop enough pressure.
Tested with buddies brand new truck and works fine.
Separate ground as specified by manufacture.

You may have to install "the adapter". I don't know much about it, but it's been talked about on here before for using EoH brakes on some factory systems. Myco sells the adapter.
