Shipping / Hualing Recommendations?
I may need a 26' boat shipped from Cali to Michigan. Flat bedded or trailered I dont care, dont know what price difference would be. Anyone have any recommendations? Any estimates on price?

J,
Last summer when I was looking at our 25 Talon that was located in Houston, I got 1 quote for $2/ mile, PLUS I had to pay some of his empty miles, and THEN he wanted me to pay for lodging. Needless to say, my good friend and myself jumped in my F-350 P/S left Friday evening 5:00 pm, got back to Merritt Island, Sunday morning 4:00 am, 2300 miles in ~ 35 hours, non-stop. Probably not an option for you, but the quote I got was a bit much for my blood.... And I only spent ~$600 for the whole trip. Hopefully someone will chime-in, and have a good recommendation for a hauler.. |
Give Ron at heritage transport a call his number is 413-455-5203

2300 Miles gonna cost some $

Great Lakes Boat Haulers in Michigan went and picked up a boat in Wisconsin for a family member last year. He was he very satisfied and had reasonable prices. He called late in the week and they left the following Monday. I believe they do work for the local marinas. I would suggest a flat bed to save the trailer a bit and also minimize the debris on your boat.

He hauled a 38 from LA to Bflo ny. No issues and he had to deal with my trailer problems which he handled as well

I'm in alabama and purchasing a boat in havasu. Needless to say, I'll be loading up my truck with a couple of buddies and making the drive out there and back.

Reviving this thread. There are three guys listed here. I need Rochester NY area to Jersey shore, Manasquan area. Any good local ones to Jersey?

Does a transporter need to be home based near the origin or destination?
|
Shipped a truck once via uship. Worked great.

Went with All Aboard Boat Transport . David, the owner did an awesome job and was very knowledgeable. They also happened to be from Jersey and right near me. That was a huge bonus because he put my boat from his trailer into the water for me .
