What are you towing your 35 with?
I have recently sold my 29 Fountain on a dual axle Myco which towed just fine behind the truck. I am looking at a 35 on a tri axle aluminum trailer with EOH disc brakes on all three axles. Is anyone towing one similar to that with a F350 Diesel SRW? And if so how is it going down the road? I figure stopping will not be an issue. But how is the load pulling down the highway? Thanks

Yaa I should have listed that 2008, 6.4, auto, Rear stab bar.
Wider wheels/tires will always help. You may decide you want rear airbags on the truck, but overall your truck will handle it. |
F350 SRW long bed. Deleted. Awesome tow vehicle. Just hauled from NJ to Pirates of Lanier and back. The truck made it almost easy.
No need for airbags, no sag in the back at all and the long bed gives it great stability on the highway. Maneuvering the trailer in tight places, not so much but I would go long bed in a heartbeat once again as I have a tool box on the back and still have the bed space a short bed does. |
Oh yeah - its an '08..

I have the same boat as Apex and my truck is 2012 F350 CC Diesel SRW Long Bed. Tows so well, no air bags and truck rides perfectly level. No sway or feedback from trailer, and I have surge brakes on the trailer. My neighbor has an 08 F250 long bed and pulls a 30' Scarab. He rides real low and needs air bags.

I have an '01 Excursion 7.3 and tow 34' Scarab on tri-axle alum trailer. At least 11K and it tows like it's not there. Any long wheelbase truck will tow fine. The more the truck weighs definitely helps. My Excursion weighs 8K. 350 should weigh about the same but with a longer wheelbase. Your golden, have fun.
