2012 cummins delete

Anybody do the delete on here and if so what tuner did you use and are you satisfied with the results? Cheers

Many like the H & S. Go to cumminsforum.com

H&S was great but they are no longer in business, you can still find some of their stuff on Ebay. I beleive EFI Live still does the deletes, it's well worth it, way more power, better fuel economy, you're no longer filling the oil with soot. Makes the Cummins run like it was supposed to.

I haven't looked into it since the gov't cracked down on the companies offering them. I sorta liked my 2010 that was deleted but had some problems with the higher power settings, etc. The power was great and fuel economy excellent. I think I enjoyed modifying pre emissions trucks more, and my current 2013 and 2016 are stock and I love it!

But yes, research heavily into deleting and modding your 2012 and I'm sure you will love it!

Not a 2012, but my 2010 is deleted, 35k+ running a Smarty Sr with no issues. Only running the 90hp+ tune though since I like my transmission as is. Fuel mileage is decent, last long trip got 23mpg hand jammed, not lie-o-meter. About 14 towing my Heat. But can snap my 33s over no problem and smoke out the cars behind if you so choose.

On my ford I run an h&s minimaxx. I really like it plus you can run custom tunes with it if you'd like.

When I looked into it not too many choices for my 2012 Ram

Padraig 09-01-2015 08:23 PM

Please educate me, what do you mean by "delete"?

Delete all the emissions garbage and let the truck breathe. My exhaust has more things inline than a hooker on $1 night.

Thanks! Had an early Dodge Cummins, 1989. Noisy, rough riding but a great engine!

Mine is quiet like mouse.
They`ve come a long way.
Mine will break the rear 4 wheels loose off a stop light if I push on the go pedal too much so i don`t really need anymore power via programmer but deleting the Emissions does add a couple miles per gallon and the oil don`t come out like tar anymore.

EFI live is the only way to go now for Cummins and Duramax deleting or otherwise. All fully custom tunes, you can pick the tunes and have them built how you want as in transmission safe tunes. Optimized stock, towing, milage, race, and max effort (max effort will toast your transmission). Plus you can hook-up the Edge Insight monitor to use as your gauges to monitor everything and use if for switch on the fly power level settings on model years pre 2013 on the Duramax (Not sure on the Cummins).
