Trailer for a 42

I've got a deal locked down on a 42 fountain with no trailer. I have got a few quotes on new(manning, load master). Not super impressed on how much cheaper the load master was over the manning for what everyone says is an inferior trailer. Would like to find a cheap used one. Let me know what you have. Thanks.

Is the boat going to live on the trailer? Or only used twice a year to and from the lake? How much actual towing & trips are you going to make?
You cannot go wrong investing in a top quality trailer.

Very short tow to the lake(1mile) and a few road trips per year.

Go with the Manning then. You will not be disappointed.

Also, check these guys out too:

So far, their product rivals Myco and Manning.

**I said that about McClain welded aluminum trailers a couple years ago; but I have changed my tune there. The couple I have seen age, have not aged well.**

I wouldn't call Loadmaster inferior.

Heads up:

There are two completely different companies that go by 'loadmaster'.

Did you see the Nextrail in the classified add's ??? I don't know anything about it I just looked to see what was there. 4000.00

I've owned several mannings and a myco all 40-50' trailers. IMO both are well built but my nod goes to manning for $$$. Looked like some nice options are posted above also, those performance trailers look nice.

Manning

My myco is an 05, it has been great. That being said everything on them aside from the channel aluminum and welds are outsourced parts. I have redone everything on mine at least once. I think i did some improvements as well. I iso mounted steel fenders to give me the stand on strength and help with the galvanic corrosion. The key to any of them is maintenence. I just lost a tire on an originL hub, by lookkng at the stud you can see where it rusted all the way through.... not somethjng i ever took into thought. But they are cheap and easy to replace.
