With a newer GM truck the rocker panel extends almost 6" under the truck, this makes fitting a "deep dish" rim a hassle. That's why the grey Sierra rims don't stick out. If you want that look you'll most likely need at lest a 6" lift and even then might need some trimming of the fender well liner and the rocker panel.
