I see you have a 79 28 cig. I have had 3 28's when I was younger. I had a 74 SS & a 76 SS & I built a 79 28 SS new.
My 1st offshore boat was a 73 Mag 27 sport.

Trivia question... Anyone know what the SS stands for on a Cigarette 28 SS? Think I'll start a thread in the Cig section.

My 28 SS serial number say CRT 2828508 79 indicating it's a 1979, it was an ordered boat, the bill of sale and titles says 1980

My 1969 Magnum sedan once belonged to Huey Lewis and was used on his video "I've got a new drug" then sold off to too many, when I found her she was in pretty bad shape. She has had a lot of restoration done o her in the last 20 years, mostly trailered from town to town when we have moved and mothballed.

Are you sure, I have only heard for the last 25 years that I have owned mine 28 SS's called a Super Sport, although Super Sleek makes sense too.

I put the question on the cig site 60 some people looked & I asked for a yes-no answer
Got no response so I took it down.

I suspect at this late date, it will remain a gray area.

How long ago was it that Cigarette made them?

Aronow built me two 28s, a blue '73 and a white '76 with a red/white/blue striped interior by John Harman that I took delivery of in February. Aronow liked the interior so he copied it as a "bicentennial edition" 28.
