Gm gps
 

Recently traded my 2008 Suburban for a 2013 Yukon XL. The new vehicle has the Infotainment system with GPS. IMO the GM GPS sucks. My Garmin is much better plus for what GM charges for a map upgrade I could buy a new Garmin!

Anyone else have this?

Nav, and electronics were always weak on the GMs. I use my phone instead of the stock nav display, maybe better on the 14+ ?

Yeah, it's much better on the 15' models.

Try going to gm-trucks.com and look on the SUV forum for the 900's (body style) see if there is any help there.

No problem, I just use my Garmin. I think I also prefer the GPS ON the dash or window anyway. To see the built in one I have to take my eyes completely off the road. Plus the in dash unit just does not have anywhere near the detail or information the Garmin has. If this was a new truck and I had paid the big bucks for this option...I would be unhappy.

I do like the vehicle. I particularly like the six speed transmission! Much better then the four speed that was in my 2008. I also think that I will like the back up camera when hooking up the boat trailer.
