If you are splashing in salt water, your electric brakes will not last long. But they are cheap enough to replace.

Do you have wires going to your brakes? Likely electric brakes.

All my cars have non submersible brakes , I have to stay home when it rains.

Thanks for getting the spelling & tense right! While anything can be "submerged" not everything is designed to be "submersible"... Can't help it. Mom was a teacher...

Well I'm not sure about all brakes being the same. My Pacific trailer has stainless steel calibers and rotors.

Here in Jersey I'll be strap lifting the Cig off trailer into ocean..........when I'm up at lake George I'll dunk it.

Make sure you place a clean terry cloth or similar beach towel between the straps and where they touch the bottom edge of the hull sides.
This is imperative to make sure the sand/salt/dirt or other debris embedded, as well as natural abrasiveness of those straps do not damage your paint/finish/gelcoat.
