I always said they would bury me in it, but I sold my 7.3L Ford.

She's in the wind; LOVED that truck. It went to a great new owner.

I said the same thing about my 7.3 and then later, my first Duramax. Its damn nice to be in a brand new truck thought!

Picking up an '18 Powerstroke?

Leaning toward ordering one, but may still end up in an '18 Denali HD.

I said the same thing until we bought a 2012 6.7 F350. They had a few bugs the first couple of years but everything has been corrected and running great. Wouldn't go backwards now.

Those are 19.5" American Force aluminum wheels that I had sanded and painted exactly like the truck. They were great, with Cooper/Roadmaster commercial tires. I did all that before the new 20" options came out. IF I was doing it over again, I would have gone with 20" wheels and E-rated tires for MY usage of the truck. That's a lot of unsprung rotating mass with the G-rated commercial tires.

I just wanted the garage space back. Ultimate plan is to order a SRW CC LB 1-ton, and also sell my 2500HD 8.1L/Allison truck as well; trying to simplify my life.

But ooh, there's a road course race car for sale.
Wait, there's a 800HP Chevelle for sale.
OOH, there's a sit-down go-fast boat for sale.

Shlt. I'm in trouble.

You will like the torque/HP and ride of the newer trucks so much you will forget that 7.3! You can always find Brad at a poker run and relive the memories in his blacked out F350!

I have kept work trucks 10+ years (employees drive them) but my daily drivers I have never gotten past about 8 years. I just want to get the most amount of miles with the least amount of repairs......Last 2 trucks covered about 240K miles, doing only brakes/batteries/tires/fluids......one water pump and one set of wheel bearings. This doesn't count my 6 month ownership of a POS Ram......that was just a mistake.

That 8.1 is pretty sweet! I ordered my 2016 Duramax (just the way i want it) and love it, but I keep looking at 18's. I kind of want a crew cab long bed SRW...

I have the 07 3500 Classic Crew long bed SRW. Love this truck. Bought it new and just hit 100 k. I have been checking out new ones but it is real hard to justify with this one pretty much been bullet proof for 10 yrs. Traded an 01 8.1 - 2500 CC SRW for it. Still have an 02 3500 express van w 8.1 in work fleet. Strong motors for sure.

the truck doesnt get as much Tow time now that we have the 650 tho.

Nice Vrod I'm still digging my '16 duramax 2500. My buddy with the same truck but '17 with new motor has about 4k miles on it. No issues so far. Don't know anyone personally with a '17 Ford yet.
