Help with transport from Canada to US
 

I am looking for imformatiion and cost on transporting a boat from Ontario, Canada to the sea port in Salem, NJ. The boat will be shipped overseas from there. The boat is used from and individual and was originally bought from the US into Canada by him a few years ago.
I am not a American citizen just in case that may make a difference in this process.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

How close is the owner of the boat to the US Border? It's been stated on here that it is MUCH easier for the OWNER of the boat transport HIS boat across the line, and then the "transaction" as far as paperwork is concerned is executed within the US.

I have no experience with such, and I'm sure folks will rebut; but that has been stated here in the past. If the owner of the boat is willing to move it to the US for you, and then you have it transported from there; this may make things easier.
