Inspected wrist pins?! Wife's '15 Subaru Legacy just had a short block put in at 33K miles due to excessive oil consumption (would use 1/2 quart oil to go to LOTO and back which is around 700 miles). She plans to keep running it. I was absolutely amazed that not one hose, wire, fastener, clip, etc. was out of place or missing afterwards and they had it done in 2 days flat. I guess if you do enough of them...

Anyway, as stated above I'd run it and then peddle it before powertrain warranty runs out.

parts can fail at any time on anything...
