Threads like these prove that we're all here because we're not "all there".
So many great memories inspired by the names mentioned here. I used to build hand coned two stroke exhausts for everything from MX, ATV, shifter carts, sleds, even the hotsaw chainsaws.
Six years through high school and into college with many late nights on the dyno and field testing products. Of course, all the money earned was spent on racing MX in order to feed an adrenaline addiction.
Seems like Rossini racing used to sponsor Ty Wallace in the late 80's, fierce competitor.
I'll run race gas and Castor oil in my two stroke RC boat just to get a fix for my two stroke addiction.......

It had port work, stroker kit and I think larger bores, I can’t remember I’d have to go to the rz350 forum and read what I did lol. They are fun old bikes but the 4 strokes are stronger on the top end. Newer 4 strokes are stronger everywhere. The rz’s were pretty strong up til like 80mph. Accelerating hard thru the gears they sound so sweet. Everybody looks to see what that is coming up the road! Check out this guys video. https://youtu.be/z5h2fOr6mto
Theres a guy over in Cullman who has an rz500, they are super exotic 80’s 2 stroke race bikes. Really cool.

thanks! Will do if I can't quite crack it. I'm waiting for a break in the weather to try it under conditions I would actually ride in. I figure there is no use chasing it when the high is 24 because I'm never going to ride if it's below 50 so I'm waiting on the weather to come back around. 6+ inches of snow today - kids are off school and I am guessing we are going four wheeling in the snow......

I know what you mean Keith about being scared of the power. 😬 good times. You guys ever mess around with old 2 stroke street bikes. I had this a few years ago. 84 rz350, had the banshee motor with electric power valves. It was a lot of fun too.

Here is an old but good post Seaford. KDXRIDER.NET ? View topic - Jetting Guide
I agree with above about air leakage/pressure testing to ensure there are no leaks since it was just apart. I check all of mine when I have the carbs off, it is simple and crucial on a 2stroke
