These new ones look hideous to the majority of critics, including myself, and the quality has gone done from the complaints that I’ve seen on the Facebook. Sometimes ugly things can grow on you but these are something only a mother could love.

GM worker here. Yeah im pissed and disappointed about the whole thing.
SO WHY IS FREE TRADE STILL IN EFFECT
it enable US companies build overseas and pay the workers nothing then ship product back to US and charge the same as if it were built here.
Every company is doing this. So who pockets are getting lined in order to screw there brothers over.https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...b897386cbe.jpg

from GM
The chevy looks hard to love, but many thought the same about the new Ram and Ford before their release. Trim package can make a big difference.

If that's what GM is hanging their future on, Mary Barra is going to be turning tricks on Woodward to make ends meet by the end of the decade....

I do think the unions have a had a huge impact on bringing down the US automakers, they are a runaway train at this point. So whenever you are on the road, do a little car counting...see how many imports vs american made you see...and there lies the problem.

What about the total crap cars they put out for years. I am not buying a piece of **** just because it is made in the USA and

I remember watching the news starting in the late 60s. Every few years there was a big strike and plant shut down. It became the unions driving the companies in to the ground. Couldn't lay people off, etc.

I believe this led to cutting quality to pay for the excess of the unions. Before the bailouts the legacy costs of retired employs added several thousand dollars to every vehicle. Legacy costs foriegn automakers don't have.

The GM bankruptcy changed the rules of bankruptcy. It had been creditors where first inline. It was changed and creditors and shareholders were wiped out .a large share of the new GM went to the unions. The same unions who ran it I to the ground were rewarded.

Also why should the general public buy from the big 3 even when Union auto workers bought foriegn cars.

The way I see it, competition drives the market. It is a shame that Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep are foreign owned but I still have hopes that might change. I will still buy Jeep and GM products because they build the vehicles I like and have driven most of my life. I cant remember a single GM vehicle I've owned that I would call unreliable and I own 18 at home and in my business. The jeeps have had their problems but are easy to fix and my family loves them, (3 wranglers, 1 G cherokee).

The point is I'm not going to sweat what these companies have to do to create shareholder value and survive. If they don't perform according to the shareholders wishes then they have to change. Market conditions including tariff's are doing that right now thanks to the administrations incomprehensible trade policies. I do know that If we don't buy American vehicles, we will surely end up driving foreign ones.

The new HD's would strongly encourage me to buy the old body style. GMC isn't terrible but the CHEVROLET is ugly

I was brand loyal while working 12 years for one of big three, our second car was from Japan.
