Cummins 6.7 Help
Truck is a 2011 2500 4x4 w/6.7 Cummins 41,000 miles. I bought the truck last July with 35,000 miles and the check engine light was on when I bought it at the dealer, Dodge dealer scanned codes and replaces two o2 sensors and a control module associated with them. No issues until May of this year check engine light comes on again, same code as before o2 sensors, the dealer said they were oxidized so they cleaned them and no issues. I have driven less than 1000 miles since that time and the light comes on again today stopped by the parts store and had the code scanned same thing again. Anyone else have this issue with the 6.7? Truck is used mainly to pull out boat and occasionally driven around town when I am at home, its not a daily driver.

swap the sensors and see if the fault codes change or the same fault for other location. this should help pinpoint wiring, module or sensor. im not sure why dodge decided to use the 02sensors. cummins does not on basically the same engine in different applications.

Common issue, Dodge uses very low grade sensors and electronics as a whole. Honeslty, your best option is to delete the truck. I can assist you if you need. |
