Evolution Trailers
 

When looking for a new trailer, there are a lot of options. Steel C-Channel frame, box steel frame; aluminum either bolt together, or welded. After owning a steel trailer, bolt together aluminum, and a welded aluminum, I knew exactly what I wanted for the general construction for my new trailer, welded aluminum, with custom welded bunks. I was really leaning toward a Myco, as they are generally accepted as the best trailer, I also called Manning as they are local to me and less money. I had a friend ask me if I had looked at Evolution. I had never heard of them so I looked them up online and their attention to detail looked really nice, and they included way more items as standard, where Myco everything is an add on. Myco is the only company that I called, that still offers surge brakes as standard, everyone else EOH is standard.

After getting quotes from Manning, Myco, and Evolution, I ended up picking Evolution. Their basic pricing was around $500 less than a similarly equipped Myco and maybe $800 more than the Manning. So all three were pretty close. However, when you start adding on things like frame rail lighting, bow ladder, tool box, G-rated tires, 8k axles, this is where the value of Evolution really begins to stand out. Evolutions up-charges for some of these items are half of what the others charge. So in the end you can really save a lot and in my opinion get as good or better of a trailer.

I talked with Offshorexursion on what was needed for a really reliable trailer. So the first thing that was added was 8k axles and 14 ply Goodyear G614 tires. The one thing I knew I wanted was a bow ladder. The launch ramp I use is short, and bow ladder would make launching the boat a lot easier. I also added an extra 15" to the frame rails to get the tail lights further back, I didn't want a drive guard so I felt this was a nice compromise. Another nice option that Evolution offers is frame rail lighting that you can control with your phone. I sometimes pull the boat at night so I thought that would be another nice thing to add.

I couldn't be happier with the communication with Matthew at Evolution. I've read more than one post about guys looking for a quality trailer, and having poor service or no service. Both Manning and Myco were also really good, but in the end I just liked the Evolution trailer better.

Did they water jet the Cig logo, nice build

I'm not sure how they cut the Cig logo, but I would guess they used a water jet.

Did they add reinforcement plates where they relief cut the main frame rails to bend them in toward the nose? That would be the only other reinforcement that I'd want, that I don't see via those pics. And that sticker would be coming off ASAP. I'd be happy to tell folks about who made my trailer, but they aren't paying you to advertise for them. :D

Yes- if you look at the trailer when it's flipped, you will see the reinforcement plates welded on.

Ha- as far as the logo, I've got Cigarette all over my boat. I'm not worried about a few brand stickers on my trailer. Plus I really like companies with great customer service, I will happily support and advertise for them. Outerlimits is another company that I really think hits it out of the park in that arena. When looking at Outerlimits boats, every time I would email them, I would get the full history of the boat the next day. It really made me want to buy an Outerlimits knowing I would have have great support if I ever need it.

Trailer is getting fitted to the hull today. I really like how the frame extensions turned out. Long enough to get the lights back further, but not too far back.

Boat and trailer are both stunning! Love the paint and the trailer does have some nice custom touches!

Now where is the guy from Broward trailer saying how his product is better........... :D

Yes great looking setup! I may have missed it but are they coating the aluminum with something?
