I can't stand a Goodyear tire. The only thing I have found they are good for was putting the Wrangler LT tires on my Myco.

On my former Ford F350 dually, they were like driving on wet spaghetti unless I jacked the pressure up to 80PSI; and these were brand new Wrangler LT 235/85/16 tires. I hated them from the moment they went on the truck. I drove with them on the truck at 80PSI for several months and then moved them to the boat trailer.

Ditch those tires and get into a Cooper or Toyo, that you can run at 60PSI rear and 65PSI front like many folks do on a 1-ton DRW. It will be a different truck, I guarantee it.

I agree about the Goodyears, I had a very heavy service truck on a 3500 chassis. That was equipped with Goodyears, drove like ****, had the wet spaghetti feel. they lasted 4500 miles.
Put on Coopers and they lasted 28000 miles and were on the truck when I sold it.

have had 3 over the last 5 years all with 6.7s never had a problem or been back to dealer, all 3 I put 6 inch lift kits and no wobble I was sure to install good Pro Comp kits with dual steering stabilizers and drag link drop arms .Seems if you jack them up and dont lower the drag links front end gets pulled all out of wack, contemplating pulling the 6 inch off and putting on a 12 inch

+1 on the Coopers but I found there is a significant difference in the different models. I put the best Coopers available with the heavy sidewall on the 4x4 GM Dually and LOVED them... Shortly after we had 2 tires slashed on the 3/4T Surburban and the tire shop only had a one model of tire immediately available as a set.

Under a time crunch, I took them and ditched them in less than 500miles. Replaced them with the tires that I originally wanted and they were on the truck to the end - great wear and traction...

FWIW, I have Cooper Discover AT3 35" OD tires on my 18 Ram 3500 SRW; and I could not be happier with them. The truck drives and tows fantastic. I lower the pressure when I take a trip not-towing to about 40PSI. On towing weekends, I jack them up to capacity. If I had a DRW, I'd leave them at 60/65 as mentioned above which is common.



I had the EXACT same set of previous Cooper Discover AT3 33" OD tires across THREE different trucks, and they were still holding up great when I sold the last one that they were on. (2000 Ram 2500 360 gas beater, 2004 2500HD 8.1L, 2003 2500HD 8.1L)

I get that it may not be the best tire, (I have michelins in the back) but i left with 2 decent tires in front ...one is still fine and the other is shot, not really so much a tire issue.
To your point the truck does seem to float a little and takes a lot of watching the road and making adjustments to keep in a lane but it is wide
I plan on replacing with the michelins in the front once the alignment issues are solved.

Im not sure if it applies to your year but there is a recal on the front end of the hd rams that replaces the adjustment sleeve by the tie rods. Ran into that with a customers vehicle that was a 2016 2500 4x4 with a cummins. The recal has two remedies. Weld the sleeve to the tierod (lmfao) i kid you not. I couldnt believe it when i looked into it and thats actually what they had done to this guys which then made it unable to be realigned. I was just in shock. AND the other remedy was an updated adjustment sleeve. Not sure if it entails an updated tierod also. So yeah i had to send this guy back to the dealer to get the updated components because they had welded his solid

Turns out both upper and lower ball joints on both wheels are bad so that could explain it ..
