Towing w/ Gas?

Not to get off topic but I just bought a 43 BT flat deck with trip 500EFIs steel trailer. I would love to get by with a 2015-2019 chevy 3500 srw, but something tells me I better go with the DRW. Diesel of course. Boat is 13k dry and I’m sure the trailer is close to 5k. And I will be not upgrading the surge drum brakes until at least next year. Maybe EOH this year.

This is my first with EOH, absolutely love them.
I'm always a dually guy, just got another one used a cpl months ago. Best way to tow in my opinion but some do just fine with a SRW set up. Just not my cup of tea.

I am not sure if this is a gas or diesel Expedition, but this video gives you an idea of what lawyers will do to prove liability. If you are out pulling your very nice boat with your very nice tow vehicle please make sure it's within rated specs. If someone gets hurt in an accident you are involved in, your fault or not, and you are not in your tow ratings and specs. there is probably somebody out there who will end up with your very nice boat, and very nice tow vehicle, and every other very nice thing you have. Gas or diesel, pull within your ratings. Keep proper tongue weight, make sure your trailer brakes are working and up to the task. I pull thousands of miles a year between toy haulers, boats, small utility trailers, and a trailer full of test weight we use for work using gas engines. They work great, fuel economy drops on about all the different trucks I drive down to about 10mpg no matter what I'm pulling.
