Gatorbak Bunk Covers

Does anyone have experience with this brand in particular?

I'm wondering how the friction is compared with carpet and if it's marring your gelcoat.

Surfix CNC Routing, Donation Boxes, Boat Trailer Slides & Rack Panel Products - Made in USA

i haven't used gatorbak so can't comment on how they perform or last.

On 2 different boats i used hdpe bunk glides from surfix, 4 years not a scratch on the hull or wear mark on the glides, surfix bunk glides are solid hdpe, they come in 3 inch wide by 4 foot lenghts or can be custom cut as they made in house from full sheets, mounting holes are routed and the glides come with special stainless screws.
other hdpe bunk glides are honeycomb and they wear thru and show the honeycomb pattern in short order.

i have no affiliation with surfix, it's qaulity material, price is good (no where near the prices on the gatorbak site)

Only thing to be mindful of the boat has to be connected to the winch up/down the ramp because they are slippery, but it does make launch/recover easy.

Gotcha thanks for the info., I prefer unloading without the winch on carpet.

What size boats were these? I didn't see weight mentioned on their web site like most of the others.

What bunk slide did you end up with and how do you like it?

Thanks,

Go to your local fire station and see if they have any old fire hose. You wont find a better bunk material. Its fairly slick and TOUGH.
