Question Boat Haulers - who's reliable?

I know this has probably been discussed many times but who has had good luck with who when it comes to moving boats? Need to bring a 23' from California to Connecticut. Uship has produced good responses but I've heard good and bad on them. Any help would be great! Thx

JC Marine Salvage in the Boston area; I don't know if he will go to CA but he moves a lot of boats in the New England area.

If you go Uship, do your homework on the shippers, before you commit. Reviews are good to do that. Use only an established shipper, no new guys. Also, make sure any transporter you use has a DOT # and at least $1mil in insurance coverage. If they are good they will send you a copy of both so you know. Don't go the basement price guy, feel them out and go with what you think is best.
One other thing, look for someone who is dropping off somewhere close to you and wants a haul back to the east. Many times, they will give you a discount just so they don't have to deadhead back.

The million dollar insurance does not necessarily include cargo coverage. most of the time it does not.

Call Rich, forget his company name. Hauled a 32' for me on my trailer when purchasing and I was very happy. GPS tracking, will fix issues on the way and only charge for parts, stayed on schedule. 217-720-2558

I used quality drive away when i bought my nordic back in 2010, shipped from Havasu to Pa, driver called when he picked up the boat, then checked in morning and evening to let me know where he was and his projected destination for that day, i felt like he really cared about my property, took him out for a steak dinner when he arrived, if they are still that good I'd highly recommend them
