2023 Super Duty

Who all has placed their order for 2023 Super Duty? Ordered 2 for fleet ... base model XL with mini zilla 6.8. Still haven't heard power numbers on that engine but it has to be an improvement over our gas 6.2 fleet. Ordered 1 4x2 base model and 1 4x4 xl off-road package. The 4x2 will have the 3.73 gear and the new lighter duty 10 speed. As for the 4x4 I spec'd it with 4.30 gears since they come with 33" tires. They all come with power windows and locks, trailer brake controller, rear camera etc so not many boxes to check for the way we use them. If the 6.8 is anywhere near as good as the 7.3 godzilla in my personal truck that will be a major improvement over the steel body 6.2 engines we utilize now.

I ordered a lariat H.O. 6.7 on the 30th. Just a couple options, didn’t go crazy checking off boxes since I’ve been perfectly happy with my last 2 xlt’s.
Some of the options I wanted weren’t available on an xlt until job 2, and drove the price up within range of the xlt.

Ordered a 350 lariat crew diesel on 11/5. Pretty basic, just the glass roof and a sport package in silver. Went for the low output diesel. Received confirmation email from Ford the day after.

Says it's a Job 1 build, so hopefully get it mid year?

bigfarmer 11-16-2022 09:49 AM

Ordered my 23 F450 Platinum on November 3rd hopefully it comes in 3 months like my 22 did once they open up job 2. Regular 6.7 and no Moon roof... Just a waiting game from here I guess.

MAXIMUSXXX 11-16-2022 10:01 AM

After 11 months of waiting, my guy called me last week to tell me Ford is canceling my order for my F450 Platinum. He said they’ll start building XL’s, then XLT’s then Lairats, followed by Platinum s and King Ranches. He said to expect it 4Q of ‘23. Crazy world continues…..

Ordered one oct 27th, F350, xlt, standard output diesel.

seafordguy 11-16-2022 08:20 PM

Ordered one on the 27th - the day the order banks opened.

Ordered the full Limited because I'm an idiot. It was a far cry from my first truck, a teal Chevy 3500 that was a used 3 wheel drive cattle truck with no synchros in second gear and 350,000 miles.

I believe the platinum and limiteds will be a job 2 truck and production won't start until February. The Limited comes standard with the new HO 6.7 - 1,200 ft/lbs. Crazy!! Should be enough power to tote around my kids to soccer practice

cdail28590 11-17-2022 10:34 AM

I ordered mine Oct 27th as well. Ford changed what you can get in each package so I had to get a lariat instead of the xlt I currently have because I wanted the GPS and chrome package. I've been happy with my 6.2 but looking forward to the 7.3. My dealer did tell me that the higher end trucks would be built last like the platinums and limiteds.

Wow nice but what did that come to?

Way too much. I think the sales tax will be more than I paid for the truck I mentioned above (no exaggeration).

Kind of crazy really. Just always have to hope the resale on those high end trucks holds out

Are you guys getting quoted pricing at the time of order? For 2023 Ford suspended all fleet incentives as well as retail incentives.

This is Canadian Dollars so its roughly $40,000. USD..LOL I will get A-plan on the new one which is around 13k or better off of List. Plus ive been offered 112k on my 22.

87MirageIntruder 11-21-2022 10:45 AM

Dealer said they guarantee I would pay no more than MSRP. They wouldn't honor the X plan pricing however, but I hear that's only $700 off for '23.

I ordered a Lariat on Nov. 10th. I went with the 7.3 and a 430 gear. I was going to do the diesel but with the cost of fuel and shortages predicted, I went gas. The cost difference saved me about 9500.00 which is the cost of the new Whipple set up for the F250 and 7.3. I already talked to them and will go that route. 700 hp and around 750 lbs of torque not quite the power of the diesel but less expense.

I have pulled my Cafe with a 6.2 and 373 gear and didn’t have any big issues, 750 lbs of torque and the 430 should pull with no problem.
I also ordered mine not able to apply my X plan. They did say that by the time it is in that I should be able to use it.

I got the 7.3 with 3.73 gears for the same reason. I have not had much of a chance to pull but did bring a buddies 35 ZR back home with it. No problems at all the 10 speed helps a ton.

I seen the whipple kits and thought the same thing after warranty runs out.

FYI guys I know we don't have our new trucks yet but I couldn't pass up this deal. Weld wheels is blowing out certain models on their company website. I got a set of 22x10s for $490 delivered. They have some 20s for a little less. That's like buy one get 3 free. Limited styles and sizes but there are some left that fit the super duty 8x170 bolt pattern.

TylerBurich 11-23-2022 07:15 AM

Our 2 fleet trucks are scheduled for late January 23' build

There’s a couple in the rotary forged section. But I didn’t like any of them enough even for $100 a wheel.

Seems most that are deep discounted are the blacked out ones, I seen a set I kind of like at $650 delivered that is a good price.

I really hope I live long enough to see the black wheel trend go away forever.

I do agree, they look ok to me when clean but that doesn't last. I don't mind them as much when they have color in them that is pretty cool. What really got me, I looked at the blacked out trucks when I was ordering mine and they were more then chrome,,,,, I thought wait if I want to black it out I'll just buy a base model (XL) grille etc!
