Load Rite CS

17 year old trailer was looking salt water sad so I purchased a new Load Rite trailer for my boat last week. Spent $8K. I had some quick questions regarding setup and adjustments that I was unsure of and tried to call LR. No person ever answers.
A recording of "Please contact our customer service team via email with any questions" is all you get. After two attempts with that route and zero replies I gave up. I had to assume they really don't have such a team.
:(
What happened to this country?

hello nighthawk,Sorry your having troulble with Load rite, they will eventually responde back to you,my buddy went thru the same thing last year. I'm looking for a cheap rebuildable trail to move my boat around the yard for now. Are you going to sell your old trailer? How big is it,and I see that your in Maryland ,so your not far away. Thanks,Bob

Many stories like this, sadly. Which dealer did you buy it from? AFAIK, they only sell through dealers. The selling dealer should be able to set you up correctly.

I Plan to keep the old trailer as an alternate place to keep the boat. It would need two new torsion axels ($1100 each) to make it road safe. Still OK however for my yard and local neighborhood ramp. Both are 25 foot tandem axel.

The better part of the story I found this weekend was the $1000 upgraded Kodiak brakes on the new trailer didn't work on my first tow test. I installed those same model brakes myself on the old trailer 15 years ago and incredibly they're still working.

After spending a day fif'n with those I discovered LR had never bled them, at all. The upgraded SS brake lines and and calipers were empty of fluid and dry, although the coupler reservoir was full.. Good thing it wasn't a new car.

The dealer was in Lake Anna Va. but I don't blame them.
